The FCC Consumer Help Desk Solution is One of Eight Technology Innovations Selected in the Game Changer Category

April 25, 2016 – Washington, DC – The American Council for Technology and Industry Advisory Council (ACT-IAC) has selected the FCC’s Consumer Help Center Project (in partnership w/ Zendesk and AudioEye) as a Finalist in the “Game Changer” category.

About this Honor

ACT-IAC holds the Igniting Innovation Showcase and Awards event each year to recognize the most innovative uses of technology to benefit government programs and services citizens.

The Game Changer Category represents disruptive innovations that creates a new market, significantly impacts an existing one, or results in a major breakthrough on a longstanding problem.

The Zendesk powered FCC Customer Help Center leverages AudioEye’s Ally+ Web Accessibility Solution to optimize the site’s access and reach. This combination of solutions provides users an assistive-technology agnostic mechanism to customize the user experience to meet their individual needs. These cloud-based tools provide a reliable, accessible mechanism to enable the public to learn about common telecommunications issues as well as file complaints with the FCC.

The “science fair” type atmosphere enables attendees to discuss solutions and lessons learned with the finalists. Social media voting adds to the excitement of the day as the crowd votes for the Top Eight innovations. The Top Eight proceed to the stage and give a five-minute “pitch” on their innovation to the audience. Social media voting is used again to determine the overall winner.

AudioEye is honored to have the Ally+ Web Accessibility Technology recognized by ACT-IAC and to be among such a diverse range of Technology Innovators…See the full list of finalists.
